Arthur Nadel turns himself in

Shades of Samuel Israel? Arthur Nadel, 76, disappeared this month after telling his wife in a note that he felt guilty about an alleged $100 million hedge fund scam he was perpetrating. His disappeared just as he was supposed to have made a $50 million payment to customers. He also threatened to kill himself. His green Subaru was found the next day at an airport. He ended up turning himself in to authorities in Tampa, not far from home.

No one ever really thought he was suicidal. In his note he told his wife to "withdraw as much cash as you can." He even offered documentation for divorce. When he appeared in court after surrendering, he was chained at the waist and wrists, the AP notes.
