Citigroup's woes continue
While investment banks are on a roll, commercial banks (for lack of better term) seem to be struggling. The environment is certainly inhospitable. Still, some people are getting tired of that as an excuse, especially when it comes to Citigroup. Its most recent earnings disappointed again. Its stock during the Chuck Prince era has sorely lagged its peers and the market. So while there is no move to oust Prince and bring back Sandy Weill, shareholders are nervous. It's fair to say that Prince still has a lot of work cut out for him.
