JP Morgan speeds ascent of Jamie Dimon

Jamie Dimon, 49, will become CEO of JP Morgan Chase six months ahead of schedule. He will replace William Harrison at the end of the year, the company announced. Harrison will remain as chairman for an unspecified period. The move continues Dimon's storied career and seems to be a reward of sorts for the largely successful integration of JP Morgan Chase and Bank One. He will be in position to put his stamp on the entire industry over the next decade or more.
