Jamie Dimon's revenge
Jamie Dimon was once seen as a protégé of Sandy Weill, until he decided to fire his daughter. He was banished from the kingdom and ended up at Bank One. He then engineered a merger with JPMorgan Chase, one that left him running the show. And now he has had his revenge. The future of Citigroup is a big question mark right now. It has not gone untouched by the credit meltdown (see above item). And the New York Post notes that JPMorgan Chase's market cap is now larger that Citigroup's. And while Citigroup's executive suite has been in near constant turmoil. Dimon has won plaudits for his bank's ability to steer through all this.
